Birthing a Book

The process of bringing a book into the world takes longer than nine months. At least, for me it does. I finished the first draft of The Aquamarine Necklace, with the working title of "When Brides Kill" in August 2021. That was way back in the COVID years!

Writing the first draft was "easy". Fun. It was full of creative energy and enthusiasm. But then came the hard work of editing, revising, deciding on a publishing path, etc. When I signed with BWL Publishing Inc. https://www.bookswelove.com/ , I was elated, but yet more edits were the cards. Thank goodness Nancy Bell, editor and cozy mystery author, was so pleasant to work with!

Anyway, here we are. Both the e-book and paperback book are available for order. I'll be organizing a few book signings around southern Alberta in the next month or so, just in case you want my autograph. Who knows, I may be famous one day (you can insert a hysterical laugh emoji here!).

If you read my book, I'd love for you to leave a review wherever you bought the book --through Amazon, Goodreads, Indigo, or, even better, through your independent bookseller.

In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy the rest of our wonderful, Southern Alberta summer, and hope that you do, too.
